Park Güell

8.19.2015
I don't know, I guess I am going backwards in time now? Barcelona was our last stop on our journey, but I wanted to post these photos before other ones because I was so excited about them. Cocomont Vintage Shop sent me on my trip with this amazing dress and I was so excited to photograph it in just the right place. And that place is Park Güell in Barcelona. I've been wanting to see Gaudi architecture for so long, and I finally did! This dress just made me feel like art in a land of art. It was awesome. I have other things to say about Barcelona--and like a whole two weeks of traveling that I haven't even mentioned yet--but for now I just want to show off the most badass dress I own.

ah yes, a jumpsuit

2.23.2015
I saw this jumpsuit at Cocomont Vintage Shop and fell in love. Matti and Ben were nice enough to let me take it home. It had huge shoulder pads, which my body just can't handle. Suddenly my shoulders are wider than my hips and then just all of me looks huge. So no to the shoulder pads, they had to go. But YES to this jumpsuit. It is a challenging piece, but I had a lot of fun styling it with a lot of gold and these booties.
Be sure to check out Cocomont Vintage Shop and the shoot I did of them!

Makers: Cocomont Vintage Shop

11.13.2014
So I want to make this "Friends Who Make Things" a feature on my blog. Because there ain't nothin better than celebrating people doing what they love and being creative and wonderful.
And let me tell you, Matti and Ben of Cocomont Vintage Shop are wonderful. I met Matti at the best summer camp in the world about four years ago. She was the Improv instructor and I took the class because why not ( I was terrible at it.) I met Ben soon after and since then they have been some of the most inspiring creative forces in my life. One of the reasons I love coming home so much is to run around and take pictures with them.
These two have awesome style and a great eye. They collect the coolest vintage stuff and sell it on their Etsy store. They house their collection at Matti's mom's flower shop. Cocomont is also an awesome styling team for events and weddings.
We did a fun shoot and I took some photos of them doing their vintage thing.

Vintage Halloween

10.21.2014
I love looking at vintage Halloween costumes. They are so unlike a lot of present-day Halloween costumes. They are made with care and creativity but also with a certain amount of glamour and elegance.
So, I put on my favorite vintage dress, made a headpiece, and I am suddenly a moon-goddess fortune-teller lady. And I am pumped about it.

This is yet another beautiful dress from CatHouse Vintage!
I loooove the color and drapey effect that gives off like perfect 80s Star Wars vibes.
I'm a big fan the sunshine in my house on winter days so here are pictures!

l'hiver

12.09.2013
The snow stuck! It's been a winter wonderland here at home and I felt like dressing up for the occasion. This dress reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast at wintertime. It's a vintage dress from a store I have been modeling for which has been so awesome and they have some real treasures! Check out their Etsy here at CatHouse Vintage!
