Beyonce just dropped a new album with 17 MUSIC VIDEOS without ANY WARNING, NO SINGLES, JUST ALL ONE BEAUTIFUL ALBUM. I am so far from okay. I love her. She is shaking up my existence.

The snow stuck! It's been a winter wonderland here at home and I felt like dressing up for the occasion. This dress reminds me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast at wintertime. The Decemberists came on my iTunes today and I got so excited that their name applied. Anyways IT SNOWED TODAY and I am hoping it sticks overnight so that it will be a winter wonderland tomorrow. Like I am so excited. But for now I took some pictures with yet another of my winter coats with our personal snowflakes.

Peter Pan Enthusiasm

I think I am what you would call a "Peter Pan enthusiast". I just realllllllly love all things Neverland. So today I went and bought another Peter Pan book, bringing my total to three. Two of them are just pretty and good for easy reading and I also have one that is the Centennial Annotated version so it has aaaawwwwesome notes about all things Peter Pan UGH I LOVE IT. I took some pictures of them being the most beautiful books in the world:

The tattoo on my ribs is a quote from Peter Pan in Scarlet that really stuck with me and I found out the author took it from a speech by JM Barrie.
So that is just my book obsession. Don't even get me started on the Disney movie or the 2003 live action film because it gets really creepy when I start talking about how much I love 13-year-old Jeremy Sumpter.

unlocking

I've been sick for about 2 weeks now and it has been rather boring and maddening but for the last few days I have been trying to take advantage of my time alone to sort out some things in my brain.
I feel like I've locked a lot away over the past few years and lately I have been unlocking and uncovering the things I once knew were important to me but had overwhelmed me or scared me. I'm still trying to figure out what got me so scared of the things I really care about.
It might be because it takes a lot of courage to act on or express the things that are important to you. It's terrifying because once they are out of you and into someone else's view for judgment, they can easily deem it unimportant. And while their opinion should not mean everything, it is still alienating and disappointing to hear from someone that what you care about doesn't matter. So maybe that is why I locked a lot away and I don't always speak about the things that really fascinate me or mean a lot to me.
But I am working on unlocking and surrounding myself with what I am passionate about. No more excuses.
